Are Dixie Chicks' songs bad 2 sing in the west tn idol?

I can only sing dixie chicks songs, but I'm afraid I won't do as good cuz ppl will discriminate against me cuz I'm singing their songs. I really like their songs. especially wide open spaces, cowboy take me away, and to the top of the world. I'll be 13 in september, should I sing dixie chicks songs or is it a bad idea?
