Why faith over scientific facts?

You trust in the science involved in penicillin for your microscopic problems occasionally. You realize the capability of science in creating a nuclear bomb. You seen smallpox eradicated by science. You have seen what Viagra can do and more. Why would you denounce the scientific facts of evolution with a faith in something that has no credibility when there's no logical reason reason to do so?
