Did you laugh at D Cheney when he told W Blitzer his question was out of line?

When asked about "Focus on the Family" in regards to his daughter, Mary, why didn't he just say that Mary is an adult and makes her own decisions? Why did old "cuddly as a cactus" crab at Wolfe?
