Did Chrystler Mini-van's ever have lug nuts that were threaded the opposite way?

We have an employee that snapped a lug nut off because he was turning the cross the wrong way. He claimed he had a van that's lug nuts were threaded the opposite way, hence turning it the wrong way? Is this true? Were there ever cars that had lug nuts that were threaded this way?
