What to buy Dad for xmas?

Hi, my dad is really difficult to buy xmas presents for. He always asks for socks, boxers and aftershave. i want to get him something different this year. Unfortunately he doesn't really have any hobbies. He's retired, does a lot of voluntary work, doesn't drink or smoke but loves his food. Doesn't have any pets. He's really hard to buy for! Any ideas for an original pressie? I'm in the uk and price limit is about 50 quid. Thanks!
