Why do some people get some many responses to mundane questions on Yahoo?

The sillier the question, it seems, the more folks answer. Also, if the person has a lot of fans that follow them around answering their questions, that will get them many answers quickly. Or people may be starring the question, making it more popular so it gets more answers.
